Hello, My name is Bryce Honstead, my wife Nicole and I would like to thank you for visiting our site and pass along some personal information about us.
I am a reptile fanatic and have been since I was born! I grew up under the guidance of the greatest veterinarian I know, My father. He exposed me to reptiles at a very early age, and although my mother refused to allow any snakes in the house, we would still be in the field or on the roads searching for herps every chance we got. Little by little we wore her down until she finally gave in. I began keeping small colubrids and lizards in my room and by the age of 17 had african rocks, burms, balls, and boas. I took a job at a local pet store in Maryland where I got my first look at the retail end of the reptile industry. People coming in spending good money on reptiles and supplies. I knew that some day I was going to be a part of this industry, I just didn't know exactly how.
So time went on and I continued to keep as many different varieties of reptiles as I could afford, trying to get as much information and experience as I could. In 1998 I sold all my reptiles and moved to San Diego. I had no idea what to expect about life in Southern California except that it was gonna be warm!! Two years after I moved here I met my wife who was also a reptile freak. We went to a few local trade shows and began collecting colubrids, boas, pythons, beardies, and chameleons. I could see the avalanche starting!! Seeing all the vendors at these shows with tables full of 'nice' stuff got me thinking,"These guys have the quality you just can't get at pet stores". That was it, I knew then that I wanted to be responsible for contributing to the reptile industry by producing the best quality and the most advanced varieties of reptiles on the market. Within a year we had decided to focus the majority of our efforts on Ball Pythons.
Since 2000 my wife and I have built a collection of some of the finest Ball Python morphs around. We are constantly expanding and pursuing breeding efforts for combination mutations that have never before been seen! We love what we do and it definitely shows in the quality of the offspring we produce!
